Demolator
Cutting and demolition contractor · freelance
Demolator cuts and drills concrete with diamond tools and demolishes buildings with heavy machinery in Chișinău. This is my own freelance project, not an agency one. I audited the old site, proposed a new one with a clear scope and monthly SEO support, showed the owner a working demo, agreed on scope and price and made the agreed revisions. The site now runs on a staging address and moves to demolator.md soon.

The task
The old Tilda site answered every search with three general pages per language. On a phone it scored 36–40 out of 100 and took 11–12 seconds to show the first screen. No page had an H1, the Romanian and Russian versions were not linked to each other, and the lead form could be sent without a phone number.
- A page for every service that clients search for
- Starting prices and a calculator, so a client sees the rough cost right away
- A lead form with photos of the site that arrives in Telegram at once
- Keep the current Google positions through the move
What I built
The deal and the project
- Audited the old site: speed, SEO errors, texts and positions for 40 searches in Romanian and Russian.
- Prepared a proposal with a fixed scope, monthly SEO support and a 4–5 week launch plan.
- Showed the owner a working demo at a meeting, agreed on scope and price and made the agreed revisions.
The site
- 64 static pages, 32 each in Romanian and Russian: sections, three lines of work and 23 services with a price, specs, steps and FAQ.
- A calculator for four kinds of work: a wall opening, drilling, a slab opening and demolition. It shows a price range in lei right away.
- The lead form takes up to six photos and sends them to Telegram in one message. A hidden field and a rate limit keep spam out.
SEO and speed
- Romanian at the root and Russian under /ru, hreflang pairs and a language switch that opens the same service.
- Structured data for the business, priced services, FAQ and breadcrumbs, alt text on every photo and a sitemap for both languages.
- Nine 301 redirects from the old Tilda URLs, so the move keeps today's positions.
- Until launch every page answers noindex, so the demo stays out of Google and does not compete with the old site.
Code
- Next.js 15 with the App Router, React 19 and strict TypeScript, styles in CSS Modules, no UI kits and no extra runtime dependencies.
- Pages, texts and prices come from one registry. A new service is one entry, and routes, the sitemap, hreflang and menus pick it up on their own.
Outcome
- pages in two languages
- 64
- mobile speed score on the demo, was 36–40
- 91
- home page weight, was 1.4 MB
- 483 KB
The site runs on a staging address and moves to demolator.md soon. The photos and case studies on the demo are placeholders until the company's own photos arrive. The code is private and available on request.
