Nut shop · WooCommerce “build your mix” configurator
A Polish online nut shop. On a contract with the Webcost agency I built a configurator that lets customers put together their own mix from the shop’s catalog.

The task
The shop wanted customers to build their own mix of nuts instead of buying fixed packs. WooCommerce has no such product type, and the mix still had to behave like a single product in the cart, at checkout and on the invoice.
- Ingredients come from the existing catalog, with no duplicate products
- A hard weight limit for each mix
- Correct price and quantities without manual work
What I built
- A custom WooCommerce configurator that pulls products from the shop’s own catalog.
- A 500 g cap on the mix weight.
- Price and quantities recalculated automatically as the customer adds ingredients.
- The whole mix appears as one line in the cart and on invoices.
Outcome
- weight cap per mix
- 500 g
- cart and invoice line per mix
- 1
Related public code
This is a separate test task and not part of GoNutz. It’s a WooCommerce plugin that imports purchase prices from CSV or Excel and recalculates them for each variation weight (1 kg, 500 g, 250 g). The source is on GitHub.
