Maximum

Electronics store · storefront + admin console

At RocketSEO I am the main front-end developer of the maximum.md storefront and its admin console. I take features from the task to production, mostly on my own.

The task

Maximum is one of the leading electronics retailers in Moldova, with a large catalog in Romanian and Russian. The storefront and admin console are a Next.js 14 application on top of a REST backend. My job is to keep shipping checkout, search and admin features without breaking a large, strictly typed codebase that other developers work in too.

  • Checkout with delivery and store pickup that works for real customers on a phone
  • Search filters that show how many products each option leaves
  • Admin tools so the team can run orders, banners and SEO without a developer

What I built

Checkout

  • Delivery and address steps that run in sequence, so an updated field is never lost.
  • Store pickup with shops loaded per locale and the store address shown in the selector.
  • Payment status pages, with localized cart and checkout text.
  • A localized date picker (RO/RU, weeks start on Monday), a phone mask on every order form, and validation that appears only after a failed submit.
  • A preorder button connected to the quick-order form.

Faceted search

  • Moved search to the new filtered-search backend, with a category filter and live facet counts.
  • Option counts on spec filters, status counts on the filter bar, and localized filters with tooltips.
  • Category product counts from the list total, falling back to facet data on first load. Price inputs are validated.

Admin console

  • Order list and detail views, plus creating and deleting orders.
  • A file manager built from scratch, with folders, search and thumbnails.
  • Banner zones with filtering, promo links, and site settings with SEO fields.

SEO, account and mobile

  • Open Graph and meta tags for product, category, brand and home pages, plus H1s and titles for the favorites and compare pages.
  • Mobile layouts for category, product, cart, checkout, home and search pages. A burger menu, a redesigned catalog dropdown and a redesigned credit modal.
  • The customer account got addresses, account restore, password restore with a code input and recently viewed products.

I work mostly on my own inside the team. Features go through pull requests into a strict TypeScript codebase with a Jest and React Testing Library suite, and I keep the tests in step with the components I change.

Checkout & search

Both features affect money and conversion, so most of the work went into state and edge cases rather than markup. Data access follows the project’s operation → repository → hook → component pattern, with Apollo Client on top of REST.
